I am in shock. I just can’t believe that this is what we have chosen.
And I have no idea how to explain to my children that this man has had no consequences for his actions, words, and ideals.
I’m so sorry, Courtney. I have no idea how you (and millions of other Americans just like you) can explain something like this to your children. If you need to escape to Canada, I’ve got a couch for you and your boys! (Hope you all like cats!)

The problem is, Trump is not who you, or the rest of America, have chosen. Even if you ignore rampant voter suppression (like the mainstream press seems quite happy to do amidst cries of “unity! unity!” which have been sadly echoed by Clinton, Obama, Apple CEO Tim Cook etc etc etc), Clinton won the popular vote, but the Electoral College handed the victory to Trump.
