If my blog were a person, it would be old enough to vote
If my blog were a person, it would be old enough to vote. And to drink alcohol in some provinces.
Over these past 18 years, I’ve published 3,150 blog postings (or I will have as soon as I click “publish” on this one). I also have 82 draft postings just sitting there waiting for me to either finish them or admit that I’ll never finish them and delete them.
My 18th blogiversary was actually on Saturday, which is when I started writing this posting. But then I went to look at Google Analytics to see what the most commonly searched terms were that landed people on my blog and was reminded that I got an email a while back about Google Analytics changing stuff up and that I needed to do something to keep using Google Analytics and, further, that I had not done the something and so my Google Analytics was no more. So then I went down a rabbit hole of trying to figure out how to set up the new Google Analytics so that at least I’d have Google Analytics going forward, but then I got bored of the whole thing and forgot to finish this posting.
Then Kalev told me that my blog had been offline for a few days because the data centre that it’s stored at caught on fire. Which reminded me that I’d started writing this post, so here I am finishing it. Happy 18 years and 4 days to my blog!
