NaBloPoMo 2020 – Day 2
It’s the eve of the US presidential election. I don’t even know what to say. As a Canadian, there’s nothing I can do but wait and hope and hope and hope.
I remember the election four years ago – I was teaching a night class and the topic, ironically, was “leadership”. By the time class was over and we checked the news, the result was in and we were very sad in that classroom. I’m teaching again tomorrow night – different course, different institution in fact, and we’ll all be sitting in our own homes talking about inferential statistics in an online video classroom and I hope it’s enough to distract me from worrying, at least for a little while. And I hope then when class is done and I check the news, I find a better result.
OK, for now I’ll just say:
Black Lives Matter.
Indigenous Lives Matter.
Love Is Love.
Science Is Real.
Women’s Rights Are Human Rights.
No Human Is Illegal.
We all live in hope….
For better days and results….have fun
My anxiety is honestly at an all-time high. I’m avoiding the news today at all costs.
