This happened today:
It seems like only yesterday 1,333 days ago, I only had 666 km on my car! They grow up so quick.
Astute mathletes will notice that a 2-5-0-1 record does not a .666 winning percentage make. This is because the winning percentage only counts the games that we’ve played in Division 3, to which we were recently demoted. We are 2-1 in Div 3, hence the .666.
Happy Halloween, y’all!
Somehow, I’ve managed to keep this plant alive for more than a month:
I’m pretty sure that’s a record for me. My other plant, which I received about aweek after this one is also still alive, but it’s spent the past week on vacation in one of my coworkers’ offices as she has a window and we figured that since it was looking a little lacklustre, perhaps some sunshine would do it some good.
Also, I got sick of never being able to find my keys in my purse, so got these:
Quatchi & Mukmuk keychains! Of course, I’ve merely replaced the can’t-find-my-keys problem with the can-no-longer-close-my-purse problem.
And finally, Satan drives a minivan:
And you only get 1 km in which to capture the photographic evidence. Fortunately, I was driving down 12th Avenue when it happened and I was stopped at virtually every red light, so I was able to snap this photo without endangering myself and those around me.
And speaking of my beloved car, I dropped her off at the dealership this evening, where she will be diagnosed and fixed and hopefully given back to me soon. They’ve given me a loaner smart car with a sunroof and A/C, which, given that it was 31 degrees1 (!) when I got off work today, I really shouldn’t complain about. I figure I’ll enjoy that while I’ve got it and I’ll try not to miss my Zaphod Beeblebrox the Car too much!
1For my American readers, 31 degrees C is ~88 degrees F.
