That’s the *Irreverend* Dr. Beth to you!
Over the holiday season, I received something awesome ((Special thanks to the Dr. Erika Delivery Service, who brought me said certificate, which I had delivered to her place south of the border because I was too cheap to pay for the “international shipping” costs to have it sent directly to me in Canada.)). An ordination certificate. True story.
I am now an ordained member of the clergy in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. According to this discussion thread on the Church of the FSM website, an official honorific for those ordained in this church has not been decided on, so we can each chose what we want to call ourselves. Some of the suggests provided include Cap’n, Pastor (or Paaahstor), Minister (or Monistor), Reverend, or Irreverend. Obviously, I have chosen the latter.
Perhaps I should add “preside over a wedding ceremony” to my list of 2012 goals?
If I ever get married I’m gonna ask to preside over the wedding.
