Longest. Busride. Ever.

My bus ride to work took an hour today, after waiting half an hour for the bus to show up.  It’s usually a 15 minute ride and the bus is supposed to come every 10 minutes.  This city needs to invest in a snowplow.

  • Or teach the drivers how to drive in snow. Ugh. The buses on my route have the same accident everytime it snows. The SAME EXACT ACCIDENT!
I guess this is partly my stupidity because I should take a different route. But how many people have that luxury?

  • I just can’t believe how like half an inch of snow makes this city grind to a halt. We used to get WAY MORE SNOW like 20 years ago and I don’t remember it being this bad. It’s IS really odd that people treat our “light dusting” as if it were a veritable blizzard.

  • I live in Edmonton, and once in a while on the news, they will discuss how Vancouver got 2 inches of snow, and how the whole city shut down and the schools all closed and they will show footage of all the car accidents and the buses sliding off the roads. And everyone laughs hysterically.
It was minus-45 today with the windchill. And we have about ten inches of snow. And the buses are right on time.
