Go Team White!

lg4cf logoWe have now received the rosters for the Longest Game of Hockey for Cystic Fibrosis and it turns out that I’m on the White Team – the two teams being “Red” and “White” ((Since playing in the game requires that players be available to stay onsite at Burnaby 8 Rinks for the *entire* 10 days – not to mention being willing to play hockey for 10 days! – everyone signed up as an individuals rather than there being pre-formed teams signing up. The organizing committee worked hard to coordinate who wanted to play with whom, who is sharing RVs with whom, etc. to create the teams and playing schedules.)). When you think about it, it’s rather appropriate for Dr. Snow to be on the white team, right? I also got my choice of jersey number, so when you come out to watch me play, be sure to cheer for #27 white!

And now we are eagerly awaiting our playing schedules ((We’ll be playing in 4 hour shifts with breaks of either 4 or 8 hours. We don’t yet have the exact schedule of when our individual on-ice and off-ice times are, but the organizing committee will be sending that out soon. The schedule is subject to change if, for example, someone gets injured (praying to the FSM that that doesn’t happen!), so I’l be sure to post any updates to the schedule as we go along.))! I’ll post that as soon as I get it so you know when you can come out to cheer for me!
