Happy Breastfeeding Week!
October 1 to 7 is Breastfeeding Week in the province of British Columbia. Because the Queen said so by the grace of God. For reals, people, for reals.

Generally, I think it’s kind of silly that we have a queen at all. But proclamations such as this one, with all the old timey language and the references to herself in third person and the BY COMMAND in ALL CAPS at the end, are kind of awesome.
And so props to breastfeeding moms and the partners, family, friends, and public health nurses who support them. Happy Breastfeeding Week to you all!

Yay! This is a week for me!! And really, since I’m currently feeding my own baby and a friend’s baby (!), I think I should get double credit! 🙂 LOL
